Pair of Queen Anne Maple Side Chairs, 1750-1760, attributed to well-known Philadelphia cabinetmaker William Savery (1721-1787). Provenance: Philip Bradley Antiques, Downingtown, PA. Nearly identical pair of chairs with cupid’s bow crests, spooned backs with solid splat, rush seats, carved aprons, and cabriole legs ending in “crook’t” feet, the front stretcher with bold bobbin turnings. Old dark repaint in the early 20th C. Price: $8,500 for the pair.
