Description

Pair of Portraits: A Country Squire and his wife, 1830-1831, attributed to John S. Blunt, known as the “Borden Limner,” (American 1798-1835). Oil on canvas, 30” x 25”, frame size 30-1/2” x 35-1/2.” Price: $14,750.

Provenance:  The Rhetta C. Robertson Collection of American Folk Art; Robert Bishop, NY. Purchased in the 1960’s and descended in the purchaser’s family to the present owner.
