Description
Carved Wood Cigar Store Indian by Thomas Brooks (1828-1895), a well-known master carver who worked in New York and Chicago during his career. Rare figure known as a “Leaner” because he is leaning on a tree stump. Large, beautifully detailed figure “offering” a bunch of cigars. Wonderful old paint and surface patina. 81”tall on a cast iron wheeled base.
