Description
A Very Fine Pair of Chippendale Brass Andirons, attributed to Daniel King of Philadelphia, circa 1780. Punchwork and bright-cut brass and wrought iron, featuring urn tops above tapered columns with raised spiral vine decoration. The base plinths are decorated with floral garlands and borders, the front base panels with Union Shields, raised on scrolled legs with spurs that terminate in bold ball-and-claw feet. 31”H x 14”W x 16”D.
